Data Cleansing has become common due to the excessive use of the internet and the information available today. The vast array of information makes it very difficult for us to scan through the files that we are looking for. The database over time is filled with lots of unnecessary information and many repetitions. You can design robust database and have servers after servers to manage them but they all come with big prices. And what if you have paid so much on setting your data center but you still have difficulty in getting what you want?

Data cleansing is one such process that scans through all your data and checks for their validity and authentication. Of course error prevention is far superior to error detection and cleaning. It is cheaper and more efficient to prevent errors than to try and find them and correct them later. But errors on data are common and are to be expected and it is equally important to find these errors and correct them.
